Complete Off-Grid Solar System Example

Complete Off-Grid Solar System Example

This is an example of a complete off-grid solar power system. There are three 320 watt monocrystalline solar modules in parallel, each 24 volts, which feed an array of sealed deep-cycle lead-acid batteries. Securing the solar modules in a custom steel fixture which can be adjusted to the optimal fixed angle for maximum sunlight capture. The UL-listed pure sinewave inverter provides 120 volt AC power, via internal and external receptacles.

This sub-project of Boil The Ocean began as a possible venture into solar panel fixturing, and perhaps another venture to offer installation of off-grid solar solutions. As many vendors have begun offering simple, low-cost solar fixturing solutions, and installers of solar power systems ubiquitous, the market seems amply served in these capacities.
